Património na Zona Especial de Proteção da Paisagem Cultural de Sintra
A pequena ermida, de exterior vernacular, revela planta longitudinal e capela-mor saliente. O interior, ao qual se acede por pórtico encimado por frontão triangular, encontra-se integralmente revestido por conjunto azulejar barroco. Trata-se de uma série de painéis historiados com passagens da vida de Nossa Senhora, destacando-se o Nascimento da Virgem, a Anunciação, a Adoração dos Pastores, a Adoração dos Magos e a Sagrada Família, separados por largas faixas de mármore rosa. No lado da Epistola, evidencia-se o púlpito com mármores embutidos. Sobrepujado ao arco do triunfo pode ler-se a seguinte inscrição inscrita em cartela: O Irmão Pedro fez esta obra com esmolas dos fiéis. Ano de 1690.
A capela-mor, com abóbada de berço em caixotões, encontra-se forrada com mármores embutidos, decorados com motivos geométricos e fitomórficos. Na capela-mor destaca-se ainda o retábulo-mor, igualmente marmóreo.

This small chapel and its vernacular exterior has a longitudinal format with a protruding chancel. The whole of its interior, access to which is through a portico surmounted by a triangular pediment, is lined by a collection of baroque tiles, comprising a series of panels depicting episodes from the life of Our Lady, particularly the Annunciation, Jesus Christ Birth, Adoration of the Shepherds, Adoration of the Magi and the Holy Family, bordered by pink marble strips. The pulpit, with its marble inlays, stands on the Epistle side. The cartouche overlapping the triumphal arch bears the following inscription: This was the work of Brother Pedro and was funded by the alms of the faithful in the year 1690.
The chancel with its barrel-vaulted boxed dome, is lined with marble inlays, decorated with geometric and phytomorphic motifs. Reference should also be made to the marble retable in the chancel.
